Hello world!
Welcome to the devblog for Trusted Soil, an indie adventure game being developed by Immerse, a group of three HKU gamedesign-college graduates. You can read more about the game on its official website, and on this blog you can check up on our development progress and get some behind the scenes insights and exclusive goodies.
Trusted Soil began as a (literal) dream in the head of Anne Bras, founder of Immerse. He envisioned an epic tale revolving around a teenage boyscout in the far future. Originally intended to be a series of books, Anne decided this story was better suited as an adventure game. He went on to pursue this idea during his college graduation project, where he teamed up with Tim Hengeveld, artist and fellow adventure game enthusiast, and Hessel van Hoorn, audio designer extroadinaire, to bring TS to life.
During the six-month project they built the first episode in the larger story of TS, and tried to innovate aspects of the adventure game genre. In future blogposts we will take a closer look at what went into the development of the game and the innovate systems in it.
